At the Cemetery

On November 1, most people in Slovakia celebrate All Souls Day. They visit the cemeteries, and put flowers and/orgrave light candles on graves.

This year, we still had lovely autumn weather, so Jesus looked a little hollywoodesque.

Vienna Zoo

About two weeks ago, we went to the zoo in Vienna. It’s a wonderful place, despite all the cages etc. Yep, I’m very much in two minds about zoos, but this one is certainly one of the best I’ve ever seen.

Let’s start with the cats:

Of course, we also had a look at the birds:

Part of the zoo is a more or less normal mid-European forest, and there are, among other inhabitants, squirrels.
